Description[edit | edit source]
From 1560 to 1605 AD, Queen Elizabeth I gave permission to her “Sea Dogs,” a force of privateers – armored ships owned and officered by private individuals – to attack the merchantmen of other nations, primarily the Spanish Empire. Their attacks were generally successful, even though they did little to disrupt the Spanish trade between Latin America and Spain. Their existence ended with the death of Elizabeth in 1604.
Bonus[edit | edit source]
The Sea Dog is a unique naval Unit that can defeat weaker naval units and capture enemy ships.
