Science Victory

The Science victory is a victory condition in Civilization VI. This victory is straight-forward, but can be difficult to achieve before time runs out in multiplayer games.

Description[ | ]

To achieve a Science victory, players must accomplish 3 major milestones:

  • Launch a satellite
  • Land a human on the Moon
  • Establish a Martian Colony.
    • This particular milestone requires launching three separate components unlocked through three separate research items

If the player has bought the Rise and Fall DLC, then the milestones have changed to the following:

  • Launch a satellite
  • Land a human on the Moon
  • Establish a Martian Colony
    • Unlike the regular game, the expansion has combined all three components into one, single package
  • Launch an Exoplanet Expedition
    • The Exoplanet Expedition will normally travels at 1 light year per turn, and it takes 50 light years (on standard speed) to travel to the Exoplanet. The player will win upon the Exoplanet craft reaching its destination
    • The turn wait can be reduced by completing the Lagrange Laser Station and Terrestrial Laser Station projects. These projects will increase the speed of the craft by 1 light year per turn. (i.e speed increases to 2 ligh tyears/turn upon the first completion of one of the projects, increases to 3 light years/turn upon the second, etc.).

Notes[ | ]

Scientific victories are quite popular, probably because people enjoy trying to outpace their opponents in technology. To win a Civilization 6 match like this, research the Rocketry technology then begin construction of a Space Port to begin the Space race. Launch the Earth satellite, Land a human on the Moon and complete the three tasks to establish a Martian Colony. Learn about boosting Science output and production to build the ship together faster and blow past opponents through technological superiority.
